Ideal for people learning English as a second language, this course will give students the key skills they need to communicate on an everyday basis and with with a course structure that supports and encourages success.
福利在线视频 New Zealand’s Level 1-5 English Language Studies programmes will help you develop your English language competence. You will participate in learner-centred communicative classrooms where each class will focus on one of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Your lecturers will encourage you to produce the language in natural settings and are experienced in developing students to be successful at higher levels of study in New Zealand tertiary environments. Your programme will lead to the New Zealand Certificate in English Language at the level appropriate to your language ability.

speaking and comprehension skills if they are to succeed at any tertiary institution.
In the English Language Studies programme, students attend small classes according to their level of English ability. The programme provides students with the necessary tools for developing their English communication skills to the required level of entry for tertiary education. In addition to gaining academic English skills, students can also improve their conversation and comprehension skills that are crucial for enjoying everyday life in English-speaking countries.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from high school in your home country
- The English proficiency requirements for entry into each level are:
- Level 5 = IELTS 6.0 or equivalent with no band score lower than 5.5
- Level 4 = IELTS 5.5 or equivalent with no band score lower than 5.0
- Level 3 = IELTS 4.5 or equivalent with no band score lower than 4.0
- Level 2 = IELTS 3.5 or equivalent with no band score lower than 3.0
- Level 1 = IELTS 2.5 or equivalent with no band score lower than 2.0

PROFESSIONAL OUTCOME
Successful achievement of the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 4, Academic) will enable graduates to work in positions that require interpersonal communication, an understanding of context-specific professional and/or technical texts, writing context-specific records and reports as well as interaction in a team. The Level 4 programme is equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
Successful achievement of the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 5) will enable graduates to work in positions that require complex interpersonal communication, understanding of complex content-specific texts, writing complex, content-specific communications, interaction, effective processing and dissemination of information. The Level 5 programme is equivalent to IELTS 6.5.
福利在线视频s who complete and pass an NZCEL programme will have earned 60 credits on a nationally-recognised qualification.
Our NZCEL graduates have gone on to study English at higher levels (including at Bachelors and Masters level). Some go into courses at other institutions and study subjects like carpentry and aviation.
NZCEL also leads to a number of work opportunities. Our graduates are employed in administration, hospitality and retail roles.
